The majority of revenue that Son of Food generates is from advertising provided by WordPress and Google Adsense. Due to this, Son of Food is not influenced by direct sales opportunities with brands or advertisers. On occasion, articles will provide links to for-sale goods. In these instances, the articles will explicitly indicate if and when any online purchase revenue will be gained through affiliate links or sponsorships.

Mission statement

The mission at Son of Food is to engage readers, telling them all the ins and outs of the world of food and its impact on their daily lives (as well as occasional stories on money, fitness, travel, etc.). The team at Son of Food strives to provide an excellent reading experience.

Accuracy in reporting

Every article is thoroughly fact-checked prior to publishing. However, from time to time, mistakes are made. When those errors are made the team will work to address any issues as quickly as possible, either through updating the post with noted citations on the correction, or by terminating the post.

Ethics policy

The Son of Food strives to put to provide facts and context within all of its articles. It doesn’t favor brands or companies over the truth, so nothing published on the website has been influenced by outside entities.

Conflicts of interest

Son of Food does everything in its power to avoid conflicts of interest involved in its content, whether real or perceived. Should products or services be offered for testing, this information is disclosed with the readers.

Types of content

When an article contains our own editorial opinions, such as in a product review, restaurant review, or ranking, it will be clearly identified as such. We also use a prominent disclosure statement to transparently inform readers when articles include affiliate links or other sponsorships.
